What happens if an individual is “deemed appropriate” for monitoring?
If the individual is willing to participate in monitoring, HPRP will develop a Monitoring Agreement with the individual.
The monitoring agreement will last one to three years, by which time the recovery of the participant should be well-established. The requirements for monitoring may be more stringent in the first two years, and then will be eased in the third year, if all goes well.
If the individual is not willing to participate in monitoring, the HPRP is required to notify the State of the facts of the case, for future investigation and possible disciplinary action..
