What happens once a health professional is reported?

Once a health professional is reported and is deemed to be an appropriate referral, HPRP will send the individual an Initial Contact Letter requesting contact in order to complete a telephone intake. Once the telephone intake has been completed with the individual, he/she will be given a referral to an approved HPRP provider for an evaluation in order for HPRP to determine whether or not the individual is eligible or appropriate for monitoring.

If the reported individual fails to contact HPRP, HPRP is then obligated to turn the information over to the DCH, Bureau of Health Professions for their investigation which may result in disciplinary action against the individual’s license/registration..
