Why participate in the HPRP?
By motivating and assisting health professionals to enter treatment and actively engage in a recovery program, the HPRP serves to minimize the losses and other negative impacts which have occurred when the disease of addiction and mental health issues were addressed by disciplinary action. The people of the State of Michigan benefit from the structured monitoring which provides documentation of a health professional’s recovery.
